The ELIXIR Microbiome Community F2F/Hybrid Event will take place from 12:00 CEST on Wednesday, April 9th to 16:00 CEST, to Thursday, April 10th, 2025, in Barcelona, Spain, with hybrid options for virtual participation. This meeting brings together members of the ELIXIR Microbiome Community to build connections, review community progress, and collaborate on strategic planning and proposals for the 2024-2028 ELIXIR Scientific Programme. 

The agenda will feature presentations on the ELIXIR Scientific Programme and Microbiome Community initiatives, including the unveiling of our latest White Paper. Participants will join in interactive sessions to share their expertise, align on key research themes and methods, and brainstorm actionable strategies to strengthen community engagement and collaboration.

On the second day, sessions will focus on aligning community goals with Science Tiers and designing proposals for commissioned services, ELIXIR All Hands workshops, and ELIXIR BioHackathon 2025. The event will conclude with a joint session between the Biodiversity and Microbiome communities, fostering further interdisciplinary collaboration.

This meeting has a limit of in-person attendees, with no-limit on virtual participant numbers. Selected invited participants will receive funding to attend the meeting. Details regarding funding and reimbursement will be shared after registration. Please do not book any travel until after you have been notified.
